I am trying to order a strap that attaches my fuel tank to a 1984 pickup truck, what is it called or where do I get one

It's just called a fuel tank strap. Normally the dealer would be where you would get one but for an '84, chances are slim. You're going to have to do some fabricating, even if you do find one because O believe it's riveted right into the body.
