The truck will idle for a few minutes and after the engine warms up then it will stall.

Hello well this may be the start of a fuel pump going bad. first check the fuel pressure to see what it is when you first start the truck and then when it reaches operating temp. I hope this will lead you in the right direction. This guide can help us fix it

Please run down this guide and report back.

You probably have a vacuum leak or it's time for a carb rebuild. Alcohol doesn't do good things to older carbs. It needs to be updated to run right. Also check yoru distributor for wear.

Good evening.

Did you resolve the overheating issue?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/engine-overheating-or-running-hot

The idle is controlled by the carburetor. It has its own idle circuit. There are 2 screws on the bottom front of the carburetor to adjust the air into the engine.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/stall-at-idle

Did you check for any vacuum leaks?

Roy

I've been having trouble with my 1994 Chevy Silverado 4x4, It has 190000 but on a rebuilt 350 V8, But as I am driving all the sudden the engine dies it does'nt give any warning it just dies. Like when someone just turns off the truck while you are drving I tihnk it has something to do with my ignition system or maybe I just got some bad gas but if you could PLEASE give me some suggestions on what else it might be PLEASE I can use all the help I can get right now. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter,
Ryan

Does the truck start right back up after it stalls? How is the fuel pressure, check the fuel filter. It sounds like the fuel pump is working but the filter could be getting clogged up, check for vacuum leaks at the throttle body, intake manifold and vacuum lines

We've never had any mechanical problems other than normal maintenance. However, the truck just started this problem. It will start, but will not stay running or will run until you get to a stop and then it starts to die. We've put a new fuel filter and spark plugs on and we did put a new fuel pump on about 1 1/2 years ago. What else could we check for this problem.

Start by checking the EGR this one if its open will create a massive vacuum leak. Also do a fuel pressure check.
