1985 Chevy Silverado Wont start

Well if a vehicle has spark and fuel and it is in time it should start no reason not to. Now I need to know what fuel system is on it. Is it carbed or throttle body injected? What engine is in this truck? Get back to me and we will go from there.

OK if you would tell me what have you done so far to determine that there is fuel and spark? If you would also bring it up on number on cylinder compression stroke and see if the rotor under the dist. Cap points to number one. Get back to me the more info you can give the better I can help.

You need to see if it is in time. To do that you need to bring the number one cylinder up on the compression stroke and then see if the crank lines up on the timing mark and if the rotor under the distributor cap points to number one wire. If a car has fuel and spark then it should run unless it is out of time or it is flooding. When you pull the plug was it wet with gas? If you don't know then you need to check that too.
