Not exactly sure if this transmission related or not but it is an intermediate problem. Sometimes when I am driving my truck won't downshift. I will have the pedal to the floor and it will just accelerate like I am slowly pressing on the gas. To me my guess would be some sorta sensor. Any info would be appreciated

Thanks

Best bet would be to have the PCM scanned for any stored codes or anything in the failure records. It is most likely a sensor/solenoid issue, just need to know which one. Does the speedo work ok? Is anything else acting up?

The speedo seems to work fine, occasionally (even less then the tranny problem) if I am at a light then press the gas it will bog down or sputter but once I lift up on the gas and then press it down again it will go just fine. Also sometimes it will idle kinda high then when I shift into drive it will shift hard

Start with the basics, be sure the tune up is good (OEM parts) and have it scanned to see if the PCM has stored any useful info
