Hi,

My Chevy Corsica 1996 is hard to start lately. It is about 96000 Miles. 3.1L 6cyl engine. If you step on the accelerator a bit, it will start faster. Starter cranked well, only seems engine wouldn't start if you don't step on the accelerator. In hot days, it started easier after long time parking (I don't have to step on accelerator sometimes).

Once it started, everything is fine. Fuel consumption seems a little bit high but not too bad.

I measured the IAC electrical resistance and value between pins are in the range specified on manual.
Have tried to take off the IAC for mechanical problems. Will try the fuel injector cleaner on next long trip. Any suggestion other than those mentioned above?

Thanks!

Looks like this is a trivial problem. Nobody answered me at all. So I took off the IAC valve. It is greasy and dirty inside. I guess that's the reason. It changed the dynamic response of the valve. After cleaning it, reinstall, the car start immediately. Hopefully I found solution for it Thanks anyway!
