2005 Malibu has auto start feature but not working.

My 2005 Chevy Malibu has about 62,000 miles on it. It came with factory auto start on the keypad. It has worked fine the past 2 years that I have owned the car. It just won't work any more. The tail lights flash like it always did when I try to use the feature, but it won't start.

It starts fine with key in the ignition. Just auto start from outside the car with keypad won't work. With winter coming and two small babies I'd like to get it working and am praying it won't cost much.
