1999 Chevy Malibu low coolant light comes on

My 'low coolant' light comes on. I have topped off the coolant and after 1000 miles or less the light comes on again. There are no visible signs of coolant leaking. On the ground nor driveway. Could it be a bad radiator cap? At 50000 miles the head gasket was updated. Please forward any information. Thank you. Todd

HI there,

If the coolant level is dropping, have the system pressure tested including the cap, as you may have a minor leak that is taking a while to trigger the low coolant light, start there.
