1998 Chevy Malibu Filling my gas tank!

When I try to put gas in my car, it acts like it is already full. What could cause this?

It is probably a bad vapor check valve on your tank or a collapsed hose from the tank to the charcoal canister/carbon can. It is probably letting the pressure build up in the tank making it click off. Also check to see if the filler hose is collapsed or kinked.
