1996 Chevy Lumina no fuel pressure

I installed a new fuel pump in my 96 chev lumina. When you turn the key on you can hear the pump run for a few seconds, but there is no pressure at the fuel rail. The tank is half full and I have hooked it up to a computer. When I purge the injectors it says no fuel pressure.

You need to recheck the fuel pump installation -you sure you hook everything up correctly. Also check the fuel pressure regulator-could be leaking

The new wire harness that came with the pump, had the positive and neg. Turned around making the pump run backwards. Check the harness, like I should have done. This will save you from having to remove the tank twice.
