The fuel pump is located in the gas tank. If you havent done it before and it has a full tank of gas I would suggest you take it to your local shop. I would also suggest replacing the screen and the fuel filter also

You can drop it with a full tank if you have help. I poured the fuel into 4 pickle buckets. And yes, always replace the screen when you put a new pump in. Be sure to clean out the tank real good too. You wont believe the amount of crud that builds up on the bottom of them. The hardest part for me was putting the tank back on, it took a while to get the straps to line up with the bolts. Used a jack to hold up the tank, a buddy to hold up the back side and move it around enough where I could finally get the straps on the bolts. Beyond that, its a fairly easy thing to do. Oh, I got the pump for $69 new.
