2005 Chevy Impala OVERHEATING

The red overheating light comes on when idle. When refilled with coolant because of a leak the light does not come on.

You need to repair the leak so it doesn't overheat. Can you tell where the leak is coming from?

NOTE: There are a lot of aluminum components on the engine. Overheating it can cause major damage.

Let me know about the leak so we can take care of that. In the meantime, always check and keep the coolant full.
