Tried to put fuel into my gas tank and it would only accept a few gallons of fuel before spilling on the ground. Two days later tried to refuel and it did the same thing. The fuel inlet seems unobstructed and the fuel gague is still registering variences in my fuel level. Is there anything connected with the fuel pump and or float assembly that would block fuel from entering the fuel cell?

It sounds like there may be a problem with the "evap" system. Have you ever forced extra fuel into the tank when the pump actually shut off because it sensed a full tank? If so, when this happens, it damages the evap system and fuel overflows into the charcoal canister. There is a check valve that is most likely damaged in the system, it is usually located at the canister, which is located in the passenger side engine compartment up behind the headlight
