I replaced the heater core in my car now it wont stay running. I have one plug I cant figure out where it goes. There are 3 black wires coming out right behind the ignition with a plug on the end of it. I cant figure out where this goes or if it could be the problem.

Did you disconnect the battery when you replaced the heater core? If so the computer loses its memory and must go thru a computer relearning process- Or you can check and test the IACV

Yes I did disconnect the battery. How would the memory reset if the car wont stay running? It starts right up runs for about 2 seconds then dies. It will do this repeatedly. What is the IACV?

The IACV its the( idle air control valve )maybe you might just want to clean it out and see what happens.
