I have an 02 5.7l Z28 camaro. It has roguhly 63,000 miles on it and its an automatic. I have never had to take it to get repairs done. Lately ive noticed a howling noise coming from the engine compartment sometimes when I start the car after it is already hot. It seems to be coming from right under the brake master cylinder or around the power steering pump area on the side of the compartment opposite the battery. It does it for about 1 to 2 mins then a click noise is heard and it immediately stops. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

My steering fluid is on point. When I turn the wheel it just makes the normal mashing sound when its turned all the way. I have noticed that it makes the noise all the time. Its just veryhard to hear sometimes. Every once in a while it gets loud.
