I have a 1981 camaro with a few thousand miles on the rebuilt 350 and the gas gauge is stuck at just above a 1/4 of a tank. Whats the problem. Is the float stuck?

Sounds to me youre sending unit is gunked up, With corriosion. Either Can be cleaned or, My need a new gas tank and sending unit.
