I have a problem with my camaro's fuel gauge. The gauge is stuck at over full and will only drop to 3/4 full when the car is turned off. I'm thinking it may be the fuel gauge sending unit. Could you tell me where the fuel gauge sending unit would be located? And if this is not the problem could you suggest more things to look for?

The sending unit is inside your gas tank. It is a difficult and pricey thing to repair. You either need to remove the whole gas tank to get to it, or a hole can be cut through the floor of the car to access it. Most shops will use the hole in the floor method because otherwise they need to remove the rear axel and suspension to get the tank out.

I would not go with cutting a whole in the car. It is not diffacult to remove the tank. It took me 2 hours to remove the tank out of my 92 z28 and ive never done it before. The entire process was simple. As far as the gauge problem ill get back to you.
