Computer problem
1991 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have my car in the shop now for a month and a half and trying to help the mechanics fix the problems. I drove my car to work one day and when I got off work my car would not start. I changed the starter in the car and the car still would not crank over, I changed the neutral safty switch made a new key and replaced the fuel pump. This is starting to be a costly project that I dont have the money for. The car now cranks but shuts off once you take your foot off the gas. The mechanics are telling me I need a new computer or I can take the compuiter out and run the old fashion way. What should I do. Or what is still the problem. The fuel injectors are good and so is the fuel regulator from what they are tell me.
thanks

Jay:
For you to change to the old style ignition set up, it would be a lot of work, parts, and money. I will assume if you have fuel pressure (they told you) that you don't have spark. Is that correct? Also, has the security light ever flashed on the dash when you try to start it? IF there is no spark, have they tried the ignition module?
