Hello,

My English is not very good, and I hope I'll be as clear as possible.
I bought a car in February from a secondhand car shop, and it worked just fine until one week ago. The car is trying to start it rattles but it doesn’t start. It's with a power button. I've tried putting the key inside then press power start isn’t working. So, I went to a mechanic and they showed no error code, I thought if maybe it’s the ECU as I read some internet stories but the car electrician which came to see the car didn’t see any error code also. The mechanic there don’t know what to do to my car as he checked it and wants this week to dissemble and assemble back some parts of it to see it something is wrong. But overall as they don’t saw error codes, they don’t know what to do.

I have to note that I don’t know if this is something important or not, but the car consumes a lot of coolant (car is ecoboost) I had to add coolant quite frequently. I went again with this problem at a mechanic around March and they also didn’t saw where and if it leaks.

Now I wonder if somehow this influenced my car not to start anymore or if it’s a normal this for an ecoboost.

In any way I'm sorry if I didn’t explained very good I tried my best and will provide more info if necessary. I just want my car to work, haha.

Updated the miles I thought we’re in KM.
So, it’s 150,000 km approximately.

When you turn the key one can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for about 5 seconds? if not it sounds like the fuel pump has gone out, this guide can help and I have included a video on how to check the fuel pump out.

Hi.
Thank you for responding.
They said the fuel pump is working.

Also, I forgot to mention, the day I sent the car to them and was trying to start myself I noticed this appearing. It's not my photo but this message appeared also when I tried to push the button, so I used the key inside along with pressing on Power Start (not worked)

I don’t know if somehow it’s relating to car not starting but wanted to add this just in case it might be, in any way, other suggestions that what’s is wrong would be a great help.

Okay, we need to do a CAN scan to see what codes come up so we can see which system is having a problem. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/can-scan-controller-area-network-easy

Here is one for about $99.00 if you need it:

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Hello.

They checked the first day there but didn’t find anything on it, not an error code popped up, that’s why unfortunately they don’t know what to do.

Can you see if the engine will start on starting fluid? Also when you turn the system without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump in the tank?

Update: They checked and disassembled the entire engine and found out the head gasket has a hole, timing belt broke and also multiple pieces which were bent. They gave me a 3 weeks wait to change these things and hopefully will work.
I’m wondering now if I can sue the one which sold me the car but I think not.
I’ll come back with an update of how it went if it is okay for you. Hopefully it works
