My car went out a week ago; the headlights turn on, the dashboard lights turn on, but nothing else does. No radio, power window or anything. When I try to turn my car on it doesn't make a sound like it wants to turn on, I've tested the battery it was good my starter was bad, so I put new one still the same thing though. I don't know what else to do or look at.

Hi,

I will need confirmation of the engine size to make sure I'm providing the correct information. I am basing this on the 2.2L engine. If that is incorrect, let me know.

Based on what you are describing, it sounds like the 50-amp inline fuse may have failed. At the battery, there will be a red wire and a black wire coming from the positive terminal. If you follow the red wire, it should lead you to the fuse I mentioned.

Locate the fuse and confirm its condition. If the fuse has failed, replace it with a new fuse of the same type and amperage. If the fuse is good, then I need you to confirm there is power to and from it.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

I attached a portion of the power distribution wiring schematic below. Note the wire from the fuse indicates the letter A. That wire goes to the body control module and controls all the things you mentioned as not working.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
