Car will not start

In September my 2004 car kept cutting off and had real bad knocking noise an vibration and would not start so I got a new fuel pump and spark plugs it start back running fine until now, I was driving an the car cut off while driving it. I got it pushed into my car lot it started up start making knocking noise then cut off. Now the battery drained and will not start up got a jump and the knocking sound got louder and harder. I was thinking a bad tie rod. Any suggestions?

Where does the knocking noise sound like it is coming from? Does it sound like it is under the hood, or does it sound like it is coming from under the car, towards the back?

It does sound like a rod but to be sure can you shoot a quick video with your phone and upload it in your reply here? We can tell for sure what the problem is.
