I noticed My low coolant light was on before heading to work. I stupidly ignored It thinking I would be okay to make it to work thirteen miles away from my home. My car stalled at a red light twelve miles away from my house and a mile away from work. I put it in park and restarted the car so I could pullover safely. My car was overheating but no smoke or anything like that. I got a tow to a gas station where I added two liters of water to the reservoir. After my car cooled down. I restarted it and made it work with no problems. My car seemed fine until got out of work four hours later and my car would not start, but it was turning over. I to tried to see if it would work I got a jump. An that did not work. I unplugged my battery terminals for over an hour to reset the computer. I put the terminals back in place tried starting it again. It sounded dead making a clicking noise. So again I tried re-jumping my car it an it would not start, but it was turning over.

You may have engaged the security system by unhooking battery see picture on how to reset it. As far as the overheating goes have system pressure checked for a head gasket leak. Or maybe a bad radiator which would have cold spots with the car shut off and temperature is overheat again. If it has cold spots its no good. Of course assuming head gasket is okay.
