My friend was using the Lumina as the primary vehicle to jump start another car. The Lumina was running, parked it and now will not start. I have dome lights, headlights, power to starter. The AM/FM no longer works, nor do the fans. I have checked the fuses marked ignition, all were good.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com

You mentioned that there is power to the starter. Does the starter engage and turn the engine?

If not, read through this link which discusses how to check a starter.

Also, make sure your battery is good. Here is a simple test for the battery:

If it does engage and turn the engine, but the engine fails to start, take a look through this link. It discusses the most common causes of a crank but no start.

Let me know if any of this helps. I will watch for your reply.

Take care,
Joe
