1999 Chevy Lumina car wont start

If the security light is on, you need to have the car checked by a chevrolet dealer. You can try to over ride it by doing this. Turn the key to the run position and leave it there for at least 10 minutes. Then try to start it. As far as a perminant fix, a dealer is the only place that will have the proper test equipment.
