Car Stopped working

The car has stopped working. After it stopped working, we thought the problem was the fuel pump. So we changed the fuel pump but it still does not work or start up.

In fact before it has stopped working, the dashboard kept showing ESP signals.

Those cars have a fuel control solenoid that shuts the fuel down, if that goes bad it will stop the fuel from getting to the engine, it is common that this valve goes bad. It is located near the top of the engine I believe.

Thanks what does fuel control senoid mean?

The car is run by petrol not diesel. The picture shows diesel.

240D is the model you selected which means diesel. Can you please double check the model again.

No worries, please scan the PCM for codes, it sounds like it could be a crankshaft angle sensor not supplying ignition or fuel trigger. Here are some guide to read through to help out.
