Engine Cooling problem
1999 Cadillac STS V8 Front Wheel Drive 102000 miles

Has new radiator water pump thermostat cap, drive 30 or 40 miles then go up hill and the temp climbs hoses look good heater core seems ok

If its air how do you purge it thanks in advance

If it had air trapped, it would eventually have expelled it, the Northstar is pretty good at not trapping air. My guess is that you have a head gasket concern, or other possible internal leak. I would have the cooling system block tested for combustion gases.
