I wanna know why my cadillac is overheating.I have had heads replaced, newradiator, thermostat housing, alegedly the thermostat replaced. There is no leaking of any fluids there is also no white smoke coming out of the tailpipe. Besides one mechanic says there is no circulation through the hoses. Also how do you send in donations. He also said something about my thermostast being damaged. Like I said it was suppose to have been a new one installed by another mechanic.

secondly, white smoke from the exhaust almost always means a bad headgasket which would cause the car to overheat. Secondly you should replace the thermostat yourself it will take you about 10 minutes to do and about 5 bucks.

After you replace the thermostat well check the circulation. When the car warms up feel the upper and lower radiator hose, if there is a significant difference then you should replace the water pump, as the propelers can corrode off.

For the head gasket, you should perform a compression test on each cylinder lowest should be no less then 75% of the highest.
