WHAT CAUSES THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT AND WHAT CAUSES LOW OIL PRESSURE

There is no one cause for either. The overheat can be caused by faulty thermostat, faulty water pump, blockage in radiator, inoperative cooling fans, internal leak(headgasket/crack) to name a few. The oil pressure could be low from a faulty pump, faulty sender, mechanical faults, improper repairs.
