Bucking and sputtering

I have the vehicle listed above (xj model) when I take off it bucks and acts like it’s about to run out of gas! I have a dtc 24 but that tells me it’s the throttle position sensor, and I have already changed it. I replaced it with a Mopar TPS I’m lost and confused at this point.

This code is telling you that your voltage is not as expected. This could be as a result of the sensor but it is more likely a wiring issue.

I attached the testing for this code but I suspect there is either a connection issue or a larger wiring issue.

Let me know if you have questions but following this test through should lead you to the issue.

Ever change the fuel filter?

Checked the fuel pressure?

People get too wound up in these new fangled sensor infested, over engineered rigs. Anymore, you seldom hear about mechanical issues as it all seems to be masked with computer items.

Wow! You don't reckon it could be an old school symptom and it actually is starving for fuel and the cyber matrix got sidestepped by old technology? The new stuff still requires scheduled maintenance as the old stuff does.

Seems to be a wiring issue between the TPS and the PCM. Thanks for the help though!

You are welcome. Also, the only way a wiring issue can "hurt" the TPS is if it is shorting out the sensor. However, the testing would reveal this.
