Hi,

I've been reading some threads regarding my transmission type and having problems with hard upshifts and downshifts after it's been running for 15+ minutes. With all the threads the final "SOLUTION" item is missing. Can you please address my concern.

The 2 threads I read that did not have a final comment are below. The 2nd thread is mentioned and has the link within it.

It is possibly a software issue, has it been to the dealer?

No.I have not. It seems that as I research more and more people that have this same problem end up spending a TON of money at the dealer and sometimes they can't diagnose it. I was hoping to get the right advice online and fix it. I don't trust any of the 3 dealer around here. I've had 4 Beamers and have tried all 3 dealers for service and feel ripped off when I get the car back and taken advantage of.

What else do you suggest? Any luck with those 2 previoud threads I mentioned in my original question?

The unfortunate thing is that the issue could be software and if I could devine the issue and offer a tangible solution without the expense and difficulty of going to the dealer, I would. This is not one of those easily answered questions and if you have the dealers on the list of places to avoid, we are at an impass. The next thing is to find a tranny shop in your area, where are you at?
