2002 BMW 325 V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 60,000 miles

Two days ago my coolant light comes on. Two days later I started hearing high pitched sounds coming from the engine when I started the car. After a while the sound would go away. Then I started driving and a while after I would hear it again. It would go and come back sometimes loudly and sometimes softly. Then I parked it at school came back to it a couple of hours later and the car didn't start. So I called my friend who thought it was a battery issue and jumped started the car, and it worked! But again today I tried to start my car this morning and it wouldn't turn on. My insurance lights and my radio and lights inmy dashboard turned on. But the car didn't I am waiting for a mechanic but am wondering what it could be?

A 2002 car has a perhaps 5 year old battery and it may require replacement, I suggest using an INTERSTATE battery. As to the noise I have found it is almost always the deflection pulley. The tensioner assembly is also suspect, but I am in cyberspace and I request you repost once the battery/no start issue is resolved.
