Blinkers only work certain times

They will work when the air conditioner is on or the defrosters. The emergency flashers wont work at all. We was told that it is an electrical problem at $200.00 an hour to fix.

Hey DEBRAMEYER,

This does seem like a fault that may require some in lengthy diagnosis to solve.

The turn signals are controlled by the body control module.

One quick check I can think of is checking the connections on the Body control module (BCM).

Remove the trim panel on the right side of the centre console to access the BCM (includes fuse box) shown in picture attached.

Then follow the attached instructions to remove the BCM.

Unlatch and unplug the electrical connections and check for signs of overheating and/or corrosion to the contacts of the BCM connectors.
