Hello my name is Cendi, I just had a top rebuild done on my Chrysler 300c 5.7 v8 hemi long block. Cost me almost $4,000.00. The car sounds like it wants to stall, smell raw gas. Does not want to catch gears acts erratically. Smell like burning something black smoke coming from the exhaust pipe, all bad. Could it be the brain? And which brain will match with my 2005 brain? Help

Hello, I'm Danny.

Just a quick question first. After spending $4,000.00 on the rebuild didn't the place who did the work give you a warranty/guarantee? I would take it back to them first. Here is a tutorial showing what is commonly associated with black smoke:

Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
