An aftermarket alarm and immobilizer was fitted to my Nissan NP200 bakkie in August 2014. The name of the alarm is Autowatch. Unfortunately I do not have the series number.

The disarm button on the remote has broken and we cannot disarm the alarm.
The security light that is fitted above the rearview mirror is blinking but not as bright and frequent as normally.

The engine will not start, although it does make a sound. It sounds like as if the battery has drained, but I am sure this is because the alarm and immobilizer has not been disarmed.

We have taken the fuse out as well but to no avail.

Please show us how to completely disconnect the alarm and immobilizer.

Thank you,

From the description I would say the alarm is the cause of the no-start, it likely drained the battery enough that the engine will not run. The first thing I would do is to either test or if the battery is over 3-4 years old, I would replace it. Then see if the system works. If not about the best solution would be to remove the entire thing, to do that you will need to find the units location and get the actual numbers off it, then you should be able to find the installation instructions for it and can reverse the wiring changes. Most use the same type of wiring in that they connect to the starter, ignition key, engine computer and such, but they all use different wire colors for the functions so if I told you "Remove the blue wire from the green wire" that might apply to one model they sold but not the exact one you have.

For the vehicle itself there are different wiring diagrams for those based on where they were built and sold and because they don't sell them in the US (wish they did as I like the little Utes like those) the diagrams we can get won't really apply. You might be able to find them if you search online from South Africa. Part of the repair will be to follow the wiring harness from the alarm module up to the factory wiring harness. On some they are simple plug-in items where you would disconnect a factory connection and plug the modules connector in between those, others are installed by cutting the wires and splicing the module in there, on those you would simply find the two "green" wires connected to the module's wires and splice those back together for each one cut. On those there will usually be a power and ground wires that needs to be removed as well. Being an aftermarket system, they all use different resets or changes from the OE items so telling you to turn the key lock and unlock likely are not going to help.
These might give you some help as well:
