Air flows constantly without system being on

My air comes in constantly through middle vents when car is driving. It doesn’t not move to defrost or below when changing the directions knob.

Also, it will blow hot air when the heat is on but sorta cool when the A/C is on.

This could be two issues or could be related to the same issue with the mode door.

The air not blowing out of the different mode doors is due to the mode door actuator most likely. It is pretty common for these things to fail and cause this issue. I would suggest replacing this actuator and then retesting the rest of the system. If it is still not blowing cold enough then we may have a Freon level issue or compressor issues. We need to start by checking pressures to see if the system is low. I attached a number of guides that will help with this and the process for changing the actuator.
