Hi I have a 1997 acura 3.5RL and it stops while driving quite often it seems like it does it the most with heat. All my fluids are good and my filters are good though I have not checked the fule filter however, I hope this is enough info to get an answer.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

can you give a little more info on what happens when it stops, when it stops, what conditions, at lights, while driving, breaking? Any time or at a specific time, does it re start again, easy re start hard re start must cool down? What ever info that comes to mind will be a great help, also if you can do a scan and let me know if there are any codes in the system.

-it stops mostly when I am driving, but it also stops when im sitting at lights, it stops at any speed.
-it always starts again, I can normally throw it into neutral and re start it while still rolling.
-some times though it takes three times of turning the key before it sticks again, never more than three times though.
- it doesnt need to cool down it will start right away
- when it cuts out its like when you have your keys in your car to just listen to the radio before you start the car, powering stearing locks up and the gas pedal goes limp, brakes still work fine.

Hi there,

Sorry your question got overlooked, these things do happen, this is not intentional.

I would first do the idle re set and also check for any set fault codes in the ECU, see below for idle re set procedure.
