The ABS and airbag lights on in the dash. Checked all fuses connections and replaced sensors on the ABS. Looking for suggestions.

Good afternoon.

Each system has a fault code stored in the system. We need the codes to help narrow the area of failure for each system.

DESCRIPTION
The Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system helps supplement the protection offered by the driver and front passenger seat belt by deploying and airbag from the center of the steering wheel and from the top right side of the instrument panel.

The airbag will deploy when the vehicle is involved in a frontal crash of sufficient force up to 30° off the center line of the vehicle.

The SIR system consists of the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) or Diagnostic Energy Reserve Module (DERM), arming sensor, forward discriminating sensor, passenger discriminating sensor, driver's inflator module, SIR coil assembly, passenger's inflator module and the AIR BAG or SIR warning lamp on the instrument cluster. The SDM/DERM, SIR coil assembly, driver's inflator module and connector wires make up the deployment loops. The function of the deployment loops is to supply current through the inflator modules. The inflator modules are only supplied with enough current to deploy when the SDM and forward discriminating sensor detect vehicle velocity changes severe enough to warrant deployment.

OPERATION
On models with SDM, the SDM contains a sensing device which converts vehicle velocity changes to an electrical signal. The electrical signal generated is processed by the SDM and then compared to a value stored in memory. When the generated signal exceeds the stored value, additional signals are compared to signals stored in memory. When two of the generated signals exceed the stored values or when one of the generated signals exceeds the stored value and the forward discriminating sensor closes, the SDM will cause current to flow through the inflator modules deploying the air bags.

On models with an arming sensor and DERM module, the arming sensor, inflator modules and discriminating sensors make up the deployment loop. The arming sensor switches power to the inflator module on high side (power side) of the deployment loop. Either of the discriminating sensors can supply ground to the inflator module on the low side (ground side) of the loop. The inflator module is only supplied sufficient current to deploy when the arming sensor and at least one of the two discriminating sensors are closed simultaneously. The DERM also supplies the deployment loop with a 36 volt reserve, this reserve is sufficient enough to deploy the airbag if the ignition feed is lost during a frontal crash.
