Replaced AC/heater blower motor, found a rat's nest, vacuum out in area above motor. Now it's not cooling on driver side, air flowing just not cool and not as strong flow as passenger side, passenger side cooling and blowing well, still smell rat smell.
Question: where do I check and how to I get to air flow ducts/areas to see if there is more nest mess in vents somewhere?

Hi,

I attached a pic below and the directions for removing the main air distribution air ducts. The manual indicates the instrument panel needs to be removed. However, you may be able to reach enough of the bolts holding it in place to clean it or at least check.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

I can't take the entire dash out. Not a mechanic, just a mechanic's widow trying to save some money. Wonder if the adjustable vent front covers can be removed safely (without breaking) to go in that way. If not, oh well, guess I'll have to take it somewhere.

There is a left side blend door actuator that would like it is bad. here is a generic guide to help you see what you are getting yourself into when doing the job and the location of the actuator in the images below:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
