I was driving home when the vehicle stalled, tried to start it back up, no luck. I got it towed home I hooked up the code reader to OBD port powers up but says no commiseration. I got it to start but shuts off right away, the only way it stays on is if I hold gas pedal down, sounds nasty. Once I let off the gas shut off right away, I changed the sparkplugs, wires set, fuel pressure regulator, MAF sensor, TPS, ignition coils, and coolant thermostat.

Vehicle listed above is a sr5.

Hi,

I listened to the video. When was the timing belt last changed? I'm questioning if it jumped time.

We can check this by testing engine compression to see if it is a little low. Also, if you have a timing light, you could check if it is firing too late.

Here is a link that explains how to test compression. Try this and let me know what you find.

Let me know.
