That is for the fuel pump module A control circuit open.

Possible causes are:

FPC circuit is open or shorted to ground

FPC circuit shorted to power

FPC module damaged.

It looks like we are back to square one. This issue should be under the emissions warranty. Are you sure you don't want a dealer to look at it? Since the car doesn't run the way it is, they should be able to make some special accommodations for you. However, if you want, we can continue.

Let me know.

Thank you sir for your time. I do have an appointment set up for the 29th.

I would like to know if this is because of something I did (adding audio equipment/leds to vehicle, or is it a "ford" fault.

It's gotta be that little green ground wire I mentioned earlier. When that green wire touches any part of the chassis, car is silent. Won't even crank.
Not a professional diagnosis of course, just a theory.

I wouldn't think the audio addition would have caused this. I am really curious to see what they tell you. Keep me updated.

Well, I got her in the shop early. Three days now and Ford doesn't know what the problem is. This is nuts. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks again for your support.

Wow. This is too new of a car to have this kind of problem. They had it for 3 days and can't find it?

I have to be honest, I have pages of tests to conduct before a solution may be found. If I was you, I think I would request Ford to assist. At least they should pay a portion of the bill. If they had it for 3 days, it isn't going to be cheap. That's just a thought.

Spoke with them today and still nothing. Could be 5 more days. 140 per hour. You bet I'm going to ask they pay a portion.

Don't forget the emissions warranty. It covers all emissions components 100%. And yes, the MAF would fall into that category.

I asked the service guy what they did to fix it and his reply was "I'm not really sure, but we ran the car for 30 minutes without it stalling.

Battery was purchased just a few weeks before the shop took my vehicle in for "repair".
Not sure how a $150 battery would go bad so quick.

Anyway, car has been running horribly for the past few days.
Now it won't crank no start.
Drama continues.

Oh, I called up ford to see about getting reimbursement for rental car and for service done, well he was fired.

It sounds like you have the same kind of luck I would have with things. Are they going to take it back and fix it? Have you contacted anyone at Ford Motor Company?

Hello and thank you again for your replies.
I just moved and am 100+ miles from the dealership I had it at. I do have an appointment with a local ford on Monday.

Update: car DOES start. "Check charging system" warning pops up.
Driving around or with it in idle, headlights, tail lights. License plate lights, all lights flicker.

Either a ground problem or a bad voltage regulator will cause that. The car is too new to be having all these problems. If the new dealer you take it to can't help, you need to contact Ford Motor Co.
