Just needed to know if there is a step process to follow to flush the coolant system on a 2010 Beetle. I topped off my coolant slightly with regular coolant and I am reading that could have been a mistake. I didn't use very much coolant at all but I am reading it could cause the G12 coolant to gunk up.

True. I would let a shop do this as all the coolant needs to be flushed out and the proper coolant added. I dont know how much you used but it could jell up causing all kinds of issues. It would be the best 89 bucks you spend.

Didnt use too much at all. The reservoir was a little below the minimum line and we just bought the car so I added just a little. Didnt realize there was a certain kind of coolant needed to be used.

Yep, real important to keep the correct fluid in there. It will play all kinds of games if you mix fluids.

Is it a tricky thing to do the fluid flush on the 2010 beetle? If I could save some cash and do it myself I would but I cant seem to find any info online on how to do it. 89 bucks is bucks I dont have in my pocket to spend right now if not needed.I will tho to save the car from troubles. Thanks for all ur info tho. Big help!

You cannot get all the fluid out without a flushing machine. Todays cars are not like the old days. Fluid get trapped inside the block and the heater and can only be forced out with a pressure exchanger.
I am sorry, but I dont believe that you cannot afford to spend the money considering what it will cost to repair the damage from this.
