Cooling fan motors

How the fan motors operate? One isnt running so while driving in town the a/c is hot.

When you turn the a/c switch on, the fan (s) will turn on. If they don't you have an a/c problem or an electrical problem.

Common culprits are fuses, fuse block on top of battery, fan control module, the actual fans themselves fail. You may have no refrigerant in your A/C system which will disable the whole system from turning on.
