My car is making a front end clunking noise come from the driver side. I replaced the sway bar link and the noise is still there. It happens after the car has been driven for a while and it doesn't do it all the time but when it does I hear the clunking noise and can feel it in my steering wheel. I don't know what else to check. Balljoints are good.

If the ball joints are okay, then we need to check the rest of the front-end suspension and steering system starting with tie rods and struts.

Here is a guide on this issue that will get us started:

Below are a couple guides that will give more detail.

The most likely cause of this is a strut issue so not only do we need to look for any moisture on the strut, but we need to most likely remove it and check to see if it is easily compressed. If it were me and going to remove it, I would just replace it since it is not that expensive.
