Coil pack keeps overheating what's the problem?

Changed engine in my 2005 hyundia sonata 2.0L car started for 2 hours then the following day went to start it no start engine cranks no spark and fuel pump not cutting in please help me?

Hello,

The coil pack is likely overheating for having excessive internal resistance.
It can also be triggered by spark plugs.
Since you are not getting any spark it could be due to faulty coil or bad spark plugs.

Here is the ideal resistance for the coil:
Primary resistance : 0.78 ± 10% (Ohms)
Secondary resistance : 20 ± 15% (k Ohms)

As for the fuel pump, if the pump is inoperative. It could be due to a bad pump, relay or wiring.
