Transmission not shifting correctly?

No codes but the 1270. All fuses good. Checked all connections. If the vehicle speed sensor is in the transverse case like I understand I unhooked it speedometer still works but still way off. Why I do not know?

Well it is off from the wheel spinning at one point try erasing the code if you have not already and see if it cures it. That is the only thing I can think of at the moment. What has happened is the speedometer has come out of calibration. The transmission thing may be a bad transmission as it is used.

Will not shift past second gear otherwise it works fine.

It is probably in limp mode is why it is sticking in second. Scan for codes first or have a transmission shop scan it. See link.

My car will not shift to drive at all but will go in reverse. It had a leak but I fix the leak now

Has the check engine light come on? Have you refilled the ATF? There is a trans control module, but I want to eliminate the easier things first. Let me know.

My ford expedition has gradually stopped shifting into 4th gear over the past 3 month. Lower gears shift smoothly with no noise. I have tried changing the transmission fluid and filter with no change of this malfunction.

Get a scan done to see if there are any trouble codes.

Are you able to toggle the O/D switch on and off?

If the trans is not upshifting, it most probably is a control solenoid switch. If it flares when shifting into OD, then it would more likely to be pressure leakages or a failed clutch.

If it is a hyraulic issue, it will not code. It could be valve body or a bad seal in a clutch pack.
