2003 Honda Civic tires

My car currently has 185.65.15 tires. May 195.65.15's be used on =this car?

Hello,

It should work just fine but to be sure measure the distance from wheel well to inside of tire with wheel turned all the way left then all the way right measuring front and rear of tire. The 185 indicates to width of the tire in Millimeters.

The sidewall height is called the Aspect Ratio. That is determined as a percentage of the width, therefore if you increase the width, you also increase the height of the tire. That increases the circumference which translates to a change in the gear ratio. That will effect your speedometer, power, steering, handling and fuel mileage, proportionate to the amount of change. It's always recommended to stay with the correct tire size that the car was engineered to operate with.
