I can t get the car to shift out of park. I looked at the cable that hooks to the transmission and it it broke in two places under the hood. Would this cause it not to come out of park and how do I replace it. Do you know how much a cable would cost if I bought it from an auto store.

The cale is available from the dealer for about 125 to 150.

Is it floor shift or column shift?

Under the steering column is the mounting for the cable. Unbolt it and feed to the outside to release the front section.
