Ventilation problem

My truck sat for 3 days w/o starting, today the clock was off, going to work the air was set to come out of vents but it was coming out of the defroster & it was cycling from heat to air conditioning, change switch to defroster & the air flow went to the floor, I couldn't direct the air flow were I wanted it to go

I believe the vehicle air flow is directed by vacuum. Check under the dash to look for leaks and listen to see if you hear a hissing sound which will indicate a leak.
