My car doesn't idle when started in the morning

P0120 - Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) circuit malfunction.

P0161 - Heated HO2S sensor heater circuit, can be either a bad sensor or missing power supply.

P0300 - Random cylinder misfiring detected. Possibly related to P0120 and P1120.

P0450 - EVAP pressure sensor sensor malfunctioning.

P1120 - Accelerator Position sensor ciruit malfunction.

P0120 and P1200 are the main problems you need to address before you go to others. Both are critical for engine performane and idle controls.

These problems were not mentioned in earler post so I guess they were a result of you working on the vehicle. Recheck the wiring connections and ensure they are clean and secure. Ensure connectors are correctly plugged in and you would need to perform diagnostics if you can't find any faults, which would be easier if you have a scan tool.

I have a scan tool, anytime I erase them, they seem to come back again after driving for a while, I would do suggested and I hope something good comes out of it.

Here are the schematic for the O2 sensors. Ensure you have battery voltage to the Black/Red wires with ignition switch turned on.

Hi, am getting so frustrated with this car now, I really dont know what to do anymore. I have just been told by a mechanic that the throttle body needs to be programmed to control the idle speed. Is this true? If so please let me know and if you know how to do it let me also know. This are the recent codes I have P0161, P0130, P0133, P0150 AND P0153

P0130, P0133, P0150, P0153 and P0161 are all faults with the HO2S circuits. Either you have a fault with the wirings or the sensors are not working.

None of the codes are related to the throttle controls which do not need any programming. The computer would relearn after some running and the O2 sensor codes are not going to make that occur. You need to get them resolved first.

If you had removed the TPS or meddled with the throttle control stop screws, recalibration would be necessary.

There are many things that needs to be taken into considerations but I would suggest getting the trouble codes rectified first. No point in going on a wild goose chase.

The reason why I was asking about recalibrating the Throttle is because someone has tampered with it and another mechanic is trying to charge me about $150 to calibrate it for me

Don't worry about that first. Get the O2 codes resolved first.
