2000 Jimmy truck

I have a 2000 small 2 door 4x4 Jimmy, we just changed the fuel pump, but know the truck won't start unless you pour gas into the throttle body then it starts and stays running and you can drive it, but once you shut it off it wont start again untill you pour gas into the throttle body again?

Check fuel pump pressure. Also, make sure the pump cycles for a couple seconds when you first turn the key on. Check to make sure the fuel pressure regulator is working properly while checking pump pressure. Go to our homepage under the DIY section for directions.
