Went out to start car this Morning turned key.

Went out to start car this morning turned key over car did not start, check the battery and that is good and car would not start when I tried to jump when I turn the key there is no clicking sound or evidence or the car trying to start what is the problem I think the starter is bad but want another opinion
2.4 litre engine

Check fuse and relay in power dist center first, if those are ok and power is going to starter, then smack body of starter with a hammer while assistant trys to starts. If car turns over replace starter
